About the Position
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and experienced Office Manager to oversee daily operations for a 97-unit community. This role includes supervising staff, managing leasing and compliance, and ensuring a positive living environment for all residents. Key Responsibilities
Property & Staff Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a 97-unit property.
- Supervise office and maintenance staff (3–5 team members).
- Ensure the property is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently.
- Monitor vacant unit counts and coordinate turnover processes.
Leasing & Resident Relations
- Verify applicant information and complete tenant selection and certification.
- Manage leasing activities including move-ins, renewals, retention efforts, and terminations of residency.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents and address concerns professionally.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with HUD Section 8, tax credit requirements, and fair housing regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Verify payroll and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Financial Responsibilities
- Collect rent, deposits, and other payments.
- Prepare monthly invoicing and assist with budget tracking.
- Support financial reporting and ensure timely submission of required documents.
Required Experience
- Previous leasing or property management experience.
- Experience with HUD Section 8 and/or tax credit programs is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with residents, staff, and management.
