Salary: $15.00 - $17.00/hr. dep on exp

$15.00 - $17.00 /hr. to start, depending on experience. Homewood. 

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

  • Full Time: 7:00am - 3:30pm (1 opening); 3:00pm – 11:30pm (2 openings)
  • Part Time - Every Other Weekend ($16-$17): 7:00am – 3:30pm (2 openings); 3:00pm – 11:30pm (4 openings)

Here's What Makes YOU a Great Candidate:

  • Education: High school graduate or GED. PLEASE HAVE COPY OF DIPLOMA or GED CERTIFICATE WITH YOU FOR INTERVIEW.
  • Valid AL drivers license with good driving record (able to be insured by company) 
  • Familiarity with the Birmingham metro area (suburb names & locations, highways, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs from time to time 
  • Must be able to function under limited supervision 
  • Abe to demonstrate good communication skills - verbal & written 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to easily adjust to changing demands & priorities in professional & composed manner
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude & work well within a team
  • Good communication skills – verbal & written; able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability tol respond to emergency & crisis situations while maintaining composure
  • Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options

Here's What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Transport individuals to and from care center; utilize most efficient routes & follow transportation laws as well as company policies.
  • Completes pre-driving and post driving inspection of vehicle, and always report on issues.
  • Cleans and monitors agency vehicle for maintenance needs.
  • Properly document all daily activity and incidents per policy and guidelines.
  • Monitors Individuals’ physical and emotional needs while transporting and within facility.
  • Assist and participate in Center milieu activities and groups as designed for daily scheduling for participants
  • Assist individuals with basic needs of hygiene, supplies or other materials of need within Center.
  • Participate and in all professional growth trainings and development programs as required.
  • Respond and participate in all emergency and crisis situations while following policies and guidelines.
