Express Employment is seeking skilled Machinists to operate a variety of CNC machines. Knowledge of mathematics and mechanics are a must! Candidates must be willing to respect safety precautions. This position has potential to become a long-term opportunity.

Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Machines to perform operations according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make adjustments as necessary
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities, times, and materials used
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Education/Skills:

• Applicants must have been employed in their most recent position for at least 1 year
• 1+ year of relevant experience required
• Manual dexterity
• Detail-oriented
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
• Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, mills, etc.)
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Good at math with analytical abilities
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of vocation training or an apprenticeship is a plus!

Schedule/Pay:

• This is a 1st shift opportunity.
• Pay up to $27/hr.
