One of Central Oregon’s premiere training and development teams is seeking an Instructional Designer. Hybrid work available.

 

What You Get to Do!

Responsible for instructional design of assigned training programs and specific training courses in accordance with department standards and quality expectations.  Establishes effective relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs), Training Development Specialists, and Training Delivery Specialists to facilitate the training design and development process.  Analyzes evaluations for training effectiveness and problem areas and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Design complex and interactive courses, videos, and instructor-led training using instructional design methodologies.  
  • Develop a variety of deliverables for Store Meetings, classroom training, webinars, compliance, sales, certifications, online training, and on-the-job training, videos, and observation checklists.  
  • Create and review deliverables for quality and effectiveness to improve the learning outcomes in accordance with adult learning best practices.
  • Manage time in an order that ensures maximum productivity.
  • Build effective relationships with SMEs to better facilitate the training design and development process.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Training Manager.
  • Analyze evaluations for training effectiveness and problem areas and make improvement recommendations.
  • Research training sources for appropriate off-the-shelf content that include industry trends in training and best practices.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of three years of corporate instructional design/training development experience required
  • Proven track record of instructional design and adult learning theories
  • Proven track record of creating measurably effective training programs
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing deadlines and demands
  • Previous experience with two or more of the following:  Cornerstone LMS, Articulate 360, Adobe creative suite, Google Workspace and Smartsheets
  • Previous experience in an environment with very high expectations for deliverable quality and timeliness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop creative solutions and drive organizational change
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a high performing team, capacity for flexibility and responsiveness to changing demands
