About the Client:

 

This local appliance repair company is located in Redding, Ca.  They are growing fast and looking to add to their team.

 

About the Position:

 

You will be responsible for daily repair jobs in the greater Shasta County and surrounding areas.  You will be provided with a work van, cell phone, and company gas card.  You will be working on your own so you must have previous appliance repair experience WITH THE ABILITY TO TAKE A JOB AND DO IT ON YOUR OWN and a take charge work ethic.

 

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

 

Providing timely, knowledgeable, and quality in-home repairs, installations, and diagnosis of customers' appliances
Providing cost estimates for repair/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
Maintaining high-quality customer service and care
Operating service van through an assigned route to multiple repair locations
Ensuring the efficient use of materials and keeping the company vehicle and equipment clean and properly serviced
Tracking all equipment and supplies
Performing other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

Previous experience preferred at least 2 years
Basic electrical
Mechanical knowledge
Good communication skills
Self-directed and solid team player
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagram, schematics, and other service information
Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools
Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of an appliance technician

Valid drivers’ license and clean driving record to be on client insurance

 

Shift:

 

Flexible work hours

No on-call work

No work on Sundays

 

Benefits:

 

A monthly stipend towards health insurance is offered as well
After the first year, 2 weeks' vacation
4 paid holidays per year

 

Compensation:

 

$17-$25 per hour depending on experience.  Journey level eligible for higher pay.
