As the Director of Account Administration and Client Experience, you will play an integral role on a three-member team supporting the investment advisory and financial planning business of a boutique advisory firm based in beautiful Bend, Oregon! You will have meaningful impact on the business as a client facing team member supporting the individuals, families, small businesses and institutions we serve.  Your contribution will result in scaling the delivery of world class investment management and financial planning solutions to our clients.  The right candidate will help propel us to the next level of growth.

Our team works in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that can become overwhelming at times.  Keeping up to date on the economy, financial markets, regulatory environment and client demands is critical.  Important deadlines must be managed on a variety of fronts.  You must be aware of operational risk in our industry and conduct yourself in a way that accounts for these risks.  You will work closely with our team on a daily basis and also face to face with clients and prospects.

What You Get to Do!

  • Help on-board new clients to the Financial Services platform, while working to continually refine and improve our new business processing and workflows.
  • Deliver world class client service and support at a moments’ notice.
  • Help with money movement via ACH, Fed Fund Wires, Journals and cashiering.
  • Maintain the integrity of all documentation in and around the client relationship.
  • Help client establish and navigate Investor access tools.
  • Overseeing all client communications and advertising consistent with compliance requirements. This includes email communications, newsletters, market commentary, website.
  • Help with appointment scheduling, confirmations, meeting materials preparation.
  • Securities trading if needed to help client and branch operations.
  • Support the team in maintaining a complaint operation for hassle free audits.
  • Some insurance (Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care) new business and servicing.
  • Leadership in special projects as needed.
  • Maintain good relationships with our vendors and wholesalers.

 

What You Will Bring!

  • 6-8 years’ experience working in the financial services / wealth management industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Philosophy preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of personal financial planning and investment concepts.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standard for FINRA, SEC and Broker / Dealers.
  • Series 7 & 66 license preferred.
  • Strong written and communication skills: personal, phone, email, and video platforms.
  • Strong brokerage operational and technology skills.
  • Works well in collaborative team environment, willing to contribute ideas to improve.
  • Strong organizational skills with focus on details.
  • Willing to learn new ways of doing things.
  • Proficient with Microsoft platform (word, office, excel, etc.)
  • Self-starter, demonstrate initiative to see projects through while overcoming obstacles.
