Regional Digital Marketing Strategist  

SUMMARY

The Regional Digital Marketing Specialist works directly with the Development Team in addition to the Franchise Partners and Managers to build brand awareness and loyalty, improve brand position and search engine results, and nurture relationships through various marketing channels. This role is responsible for supporting and executing the strategy and initiatives that promote continuous, successful presence and growth within each business and their franchise territories. This work involves leading, creating and promoting cultivated content, engaging influencers, monitoring activity, and identifying areas of improvement and regular education regarding all facets of the franchise's recruiting, sales, and marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Core Functions:

  • Coach, educate, and influence franchise owners to invest, develop, and engage in their digital marketing practices.
  • Build brand awareness and loyalty for each franchise within the region through the execution of strategic initiatives that promote the brand's continuous, successful presence and growth.
  • Lead, drive and enhance the weekly regional communication, currently called The Locker Room.
    • Deliver a modern and clean publication.
    • Write the Spotlight content and maintain the additional categories.
    • Organize and develop content three or more weeks in advance.
  • Drive the growth and enhancement of our online brand reputation through campaigns that increase audience following and reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and other online reputation platforms.
    • Achieve a 4.3 or higher rating with 1,000 or more reviews per franchise location.
    • Ensure all Franchisees and staff have Google Review links listed in their e-mail signatures.
  • Supervise, hold accountable, and propose upgrades with our Digital Marketing vendor(s) (currently utilizing Ascendancy and Qiigo), and PR firms. Establish KPI’s for success with each vendor.
    • Consult and influence franchisees to engage in performance meetings with vendor coordinator(s).
  • Lead the implementation of new digital tools, digital recruiting, and platforms with all franchise locations within the region. Example would be SOCi social media management and Pandologic digital recruiting tools implemented and mentorship with all locations. Learn, educate, formulate and be able to coach on these resources.
  • Explore emerging trends and promote engagement opportunities with digital marketing for content creation, utilizing video, photos, infographics, and driving visitors to content on Express location websites.

 

Digital Marketing Management

  • Lead and coach the Development Team and Express Franchisees on digital marketing strategy, editorial calendar development, and influencer engagement strategies to build consistency around each location's personality and voice.
  • Utilizing SOCi coach franchises on scheduling/publishing social media content daily, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Google My Business, and other prominent social media platforms (30 times per month/channel).  Includes strong in-platform experience with Expertise.
  • Coach and teach franchises how to boost specific ads, including understanding analytics, demographics, and hashtags to maximize reach and brand engagement.
  • Supervising and proposing upgrades with our Digital Marketing vendor(s) (currently utilizing Ascendancy and Qiigo), and PR firms.
  • Daily influence and leadership of franchises on establishing and maintaining a high-quality brand and image through digital marketing and social media platforms for all Express locations within the region throughout their communities.
    • Work with a variety of internal teams to consistently research, create and post compelling content and maximize impact across each social channel for optimized engagement.
    • Lead initiatives on creating and designing artwork and graphics for social media posts, videos, podcasts, emails, and websites.
  • Create and deploy strategic Influencer Strategy to locally promote the franchise brands.
  • Host trainings and webinars with subject matter experts for internal teams.
  • Develop, lead, and enhance strategic direct email campaigns, through Click to Sell and Emma, for each Express office and their target market in the communities they are located.
  • Coach and develop Franchisees on updating and maintaining Express microsites, including image, events, team/office information, jobs, etc.
  • Develop Digital Pitch Deck templates (including the story of the owner and franchise, why clients work with them, and the pricing) for our Salesforce to utilize when marketing.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Analyzing

  • Conduct performance audits (broken links, duplicate content, etc.), keyword research, competition research, and locate opportunities to increase inbound traffic to Express's websites.
  • Develop reports and analyze data from Google Analytics and platform insights to ensure engagement and success metrics are achieved.
  • Analyze social media reports and data to identify improvement opportunities and competitive trends. Provide actionable insights to the Development Team and Express franchises.
  • Ability to present financial return on investment and key result areas.

 

Research and Development

  • Explore and introduce emerging trends.
  • Work with Express national on marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other marketing strategists within the Stoller Group of companies, supporting and developing best practices and cross-selling abilities throughout the companies.
  • Research American Staffing Association and American Marketing Association.  
  • Infuse creativity through researching the competition and other like-brand strategies consistently.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Public Relations from four-year college or university; or 2-3 years of previous success with journalism, online marketing, social media, SEO in a business-to-business professional services environment or business to consumer environment managing content development and social communities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Capability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, media, regulatory agencies, or business community members. The job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including web, digital marketing, database, spreadsheet, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by email, and use scheduling software. 

  • Experience with Content Management Systems, and website management tools such as WordPress, for maintenance, editing, development, etc.
  • A working knowledge of web analytics tools.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator, as well as basic video editing capabilities.
  • Potential use of Apple or design products needed to exceed expectations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license. Google Analytics certification preferred. Facebook Blueprint Certification is a plus. Digital Marketing Degree or similar preferred. Marketing and Communications Express University Certification earned within first year of position. Inbound Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Content Marketing Certifications preferred. Campaign Manager, Google Ad Display, and Google Ad Video Certifications preferred. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Digital Graphics.
