Waste and Recycling Program Coordinator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Waste and Recycling Program Coordinator to join our team and drive the transformation of our clients' recycling programs to new heights. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by improving and optimizing recycling initiatives. Your primary focus will be on enhancing client recycling programs and implementing innovative strategies for increased sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive on-site waste and recycling audits at client locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, ensuring accurate identification of waste streams and contamination.
• Collaborate with clients and on-site personnel to coordinate logistics for audits, including overseeing temporary personnel assigned to assist with auditing tasks.
• Employ hands-on auditing techniques to meticulously examine commercial clients' waste streams, identifying contamination issues and uncovering opportunities for program enhancement.
• Thoroughly document the auditing process, including photo documentation and data logging of segregated materials, to prepare comprehensive and insightful audit reports.
• Analyze collected data to identify trends and patterns, and proactively propose innovative solutions for improving recycling programs, maximizing resource recovery, and reducing environmental impact.
• Engage vendors and suppliers to obtain relevant information required for comprehensive and accurate audit reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite to meticulously prepare and present audit reports that clearly outline findings, recommendations, and key performance indicators to clients.
• Actively participate in client education events and activities, sharing best practices and promoting recycling awareness to facilitate behavioral changes and improve overall recycling performance.
• Conduct routine site visits to client facilities, ensuring program compliance and providing guidance on recycling program optimization.
  
• Field rep position - 40%-50% Travel. 

Requirements:

• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Google Apps and other relevant software tools to facilitate efficient communication and collaboration.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License and the ability to obtain a Federally compliant license.
• Must have valid California auto insurance.
• Clean driving record verified through a background screening process.
• Must be able to pass drug screening.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds to facilitate waste and recycling audits.
