JOB SUMMARY:

Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining and updating inventory records.  Also, contacting vendors for shortages and damages from our shipments, selecting bulletins and filling the orders that come from the sales order department.  This position also works closely with the editorial department to ensure that the barcodes on the products are correct before going to press.  Inventory Specialist will also be expected to work with each team member in the department and help where they are needed

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Unlock doors and accept, stamp and deliver all packages to departments from carrier and secure doors at the end of shift
2. Do Store merchandise returns as needed
3. Call in shortages and damages from shipments and make sure we receive credit or replacements
4. Create PO as needed
5. Prepare bulletin book shelve each quarter and place order with vendor if we need merchandise then pull bulletin orders as they come in
6. Check barcodes for editorial before it goes to press
7. Back up for doing errands for business
8. Forklift operator
9. Help other co-workers if they are behind in completing their tasks
10. Back up for Supervisor
11. Complete any other tasks or duties assigned by the supervisor
12. Locate and scan product during physical count in the warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted
2. Data entry skills
3. Self-motivated
4. Ability to give attention to detail is a must
5. Teamwork
6. Be able to use forklift (after training)
7. Be able to work on feet all day
8. Be able to multitask
9. Must be able to work overtime as needed
10. MUST POSSESS AN UNDERSTANDING OF OSHA SAFETY RULES
11. Keep a clean and safe work Environment
