One of Central Oregon’s well-established non-profit organizations is seeking an experienced Manager of Communications to join their team!


What You Ge to Do!

The Manager of Communications is responsible for creating clear, consistent messaging and disseminating external communication on behalf of the Foundation and its clients via digital, audio, video and print platforms. 

  • Email marketing, newsletters, membership renewal reminders, membership campaigns, Year-End LessonPLAN campaigns, other targeted event promotion and customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Oversee overall website content and edits
  • Ensure Box Office manager has correct information for event and ticket builds
  • Manage Social Media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, Google My Business) ensuring information, images, and notifications are up to date
  • Attend events and capture content to share via social media and emails
  • Work with Contributed Income team to design and execute fundraising campaigns, sponsor benefits, and logo placement(s) in marketing material
  • Curate and distribute press releases to Central Oregon media outlets
  • Oversee and provide Graphic Designer(s) up-to-date information and images for templates of playbill, email, poster, newspaper ad, PowerPoint slide, etc.
  • Submit weekly ads in GO! Magazine and Source Weekly
  • Manage relationships with regional tourism entities (COVA, Visit Bend, etc.)
    • Provide them with information and event updates
    • Promote their initiatives on social channels per agreements
  • Manage marketing budget with Accounting Dept.
  • Manage additional advertising and promotions as needed
  • Provide interviews for news outlets on behalf of the organization
  • Help curate, proofread, and edit program, fundraising and promotional materials
  • Write script and collect images for promotional videos
  • Monitor email software updates and communicate with IT
  • Distribute branding guidelines and promotional photos to clients, partners and media


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field
  • At least two years of communications and/or marketing experience
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and think outside of the box
  • Interest in the performing arts
  • Passion for the work you do and the people you do it with!
