Salary: 50,000-55,000 DOE

 

Our client company in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Compensation & Total Rewards Specialist. The chosen candidate will provide professional level support to compensation/classification and employee recognition activities as part of their Total Rewards Program to include, but not limited to, delivery of recognition programs, salary administration and compliance; formulating recommendations based on salary analysis, data analytics, and modeling; support market salary survey submissions; as well as provide position evaluations and recommendations for new and current positions. Provides advice, training, and support to HR Administrators and the Community, as appropriate, in the application of compensation and classification management principles, guidelines, procedures, and best practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Three to five years of related human resources experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required. Working knowledge of federal and state labor, wage and employment laws. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of organizational structure, staffing patterns, and job design; job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods and procedures; and compensation administration principles and procedures. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management, HR experience in a higher education setting, and Professional HR certification are preferred.
