Position: Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler
Location: Hope. AR
Pay: 20.00 Plus DOE
Hours: 7am - 4:00 Monday - Friday
The primary role and responsibility will be planning and scheduling of machines by Work Center, taking into account customer demands, machine efficiency, and availability of materials and capacity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
− Maximize customer on-time shipments with minimum inventory investments.
− Provide timely and accurate machine schedules and production job releases in assigned manufacturing areas.
− Monitor and adjust levels of capacity and production output in order to execute manufacturing schedules.
− Maintain close contact with Production supervisors to review schedule and production expectations.
− Provide for timely and accurate review of planning documents and communicate required material releases to sister plant to support production requirements.
− Provide continuous order status communication to Customer Service with emphasis on available to ship date, define customer service impacts, and provide alternative actions to resolve potential problems.
− Provide required job paperwork (labels, material pick lists, routings, drawings) to production.
− Review Bills of Materials for accuracy on both new and existing products.
− Gives lead times to customer service for inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. -
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER: -
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the high school level. Ability to communicate with sales group and production departments. Ability to understand instructions either verbal or written. -
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. -
REASONING ABILITY: - OTHER: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Computer skills should include Excel, Word and MRP system.
