AOI/Electrical Testing OPERATOR

 

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Actively involved in all duties for procedures related to inspection of inner layers of circuit board

functionality and electrically testing continuity of printed circuit boards

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 All equipment, tools and workspace in the Department should be cleaned, maintained, and used

properly

 Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is performed regularly

 Follow Work Order/Job/Rout Sheets and posted procedures

 AOI: Inspect the inner layers prior to manufacturing to multilayer printed circuit boards

 AOI: Verify conductivity of inner layer circuits

 AOI: Post etch punch after AOI complete

 ET: Select and set up tester

 ET: Test printed circuit board to check for breaks or shorts in circuitry

 ET: Attach printout to defective boards

 ET: Analyze defects to determine extent of defect for repair

 ET: Mark tested boards

 ET: Record any repairs

 ET: Notify supervisor of unusual operating problems or excessive defects

 Comfortable operating with/around chemicals; Safety is priority around chemicals

 Performs other duties as necessary or as requested by production management

 Must attend work in a timely manner (on schedule); when unable to work on time, must call attendance Line and supervisor/manager

 Working extended hours when required

 Use equipment safely

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to department supervisor and Director of Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma is required; must be able to read, write and speak in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 Standing for long periods of time is required

 No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally may be required

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dirt, and chemicals
