SUMMARY

Monitors the control systems of the automated equipment by quickly troubleshooting problems to avoid or minimize interruptions to production. The role, sometimes referred to as an instrumentation technician, must understand how pressure, flow, level and temperature affect systems. This is a hands-on, technical role that requires a high school diploma with some college courses preferred. This job requires physical labor, such as lifting heavy equipment parts, and writing documentation, such as reports, sketches, or data analyses. A keen eye for details and good mechanical aptitude is required.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous relevant work experience of five years as an industrial maintenance technician required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, equipment manuals, etc.
  • Installing new production equipment
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment
  • Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills including mechanical and electrical breakdowns
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems including PLC and relay logic
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair any PLC ladder logic issue including documentation required

Maintain accurate and legible documentation of work effort and job orders
