We're doing some great things with a Mobility Company that helps people with wheelchair lifts, adaptive equipment, driving aids, and restraint systems for automobiles and vans as well as other mobility equipment. As a Mobility Service Technician you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment for these customers

 

This is a direct hire opportunity, so you'll start as an employee of our client immediately.

Mobility Service Technician Job Summary:

• Communicate with customers and coworkers to determine the appropriate service.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform work specified on the repair/work order with efficiency and in accordance with Company and National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) standards.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair automotive mobility equipment and electrical systems.
• Perform installations in accordance with Company and NMEDA standards.
• Inspect work performed by other technicians as it relates to quality and NMEDA Guidelines.
• Drive vehicles to aid in diagnostics, along with picking up and dropping off clients and their vehicles for service and following the completion of service work.
• Prepare and keep records related to repair, installation, and maintenance work.
• Keep work area and tools neat and organized to maintain job efficiency.
• Assist in keeping the entire shop area, bathroom, and lot clean.
• Must be able to respond to after-hours service calls by phone and travel to clients, if necessary.
• Assist in supervising and training apprentice or entry-level technicians. 

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the auto repair/mechanic industry or relevant technical experience. 
• Quick oil change experience such as Jiffy Lube, and automotive glass repair experience such as Safelite is great for this job. 
• This job is ideal for someone with experience as an auto mechanic who wants a relaxed pace and a great work environment.
