Administrative Assistant HR Department     (Rome, NY)


An Administrative Assistant is needed to work in the Human Resources Department of a Manufacturing Firm in Rome, NY.  Hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with a Pay Rate of $17 per hour


Essential functions:

  • Open and close office daily.
  • Greet visitors and issue badges.
  • Take/track call-ins, update attendance schedule for Department Supervisors
  • Assist with FMLA, Accident Reports, Disability and Worker’s Compensation paperwork
  • Compose correspondence, create bulletin board postings, and assist with supervisor write ups as requested.
  • Type meeting minutes for Operations Manager.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets and databases for Department Supervisors.
  • Resolve insurance issues for employees.
  • Enroll employees for company benefits upon eligibility.
  • Put together orientation and benefits packets.
  • Assist with planning of holiday luncheons and retiree dinners.
  • Track New Hire 90 day Training Schedules
  • Provide Administrative support to the Director of Human Resources



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience working in Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Insurance or related field a PLUS
  • Must be able to work in a confidential setting at all times
  • Background check and drug test required
