Landscaper/Groundskeeper Description

The Landscaper/Groundskeeper is responsible for the cultivation, maintenance, and care of landscaping grounds, as well as routine maintenance of equipment.

General Duties

• Design, remodel, and maintain properties.
• Prepare and grade grounds.
• Shovel and remove snow, if applicable.
• Mow and rake lawns.
• Plant and trim flowers, shrubs, hedges, and trees.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers.
• Build and repair fences and walls.
• Place and repair cement or asphalt on marble walks, driveways, or figurines.
• Install water sprays, hoses, and sprinkler systems. Water or irrigate grounds.
• Install ornamental pool fountain, spa, gazebo, decking, underground drain, or lighting.
• Use lawnmower, edger, hand trimmer, hedger, spade, pick, and rake.
• Use power mulcher, tree pruning equipment, and mechanical post hole digger.
