Express is now hiring an Accountant for a local organization in Olympia, WA. This is a long-term full-time position that could be a direct hire or an evaluation to hire depending on the situation. Once hired on, you will qualify for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, 401K life insurance and paid time off. The schedule will be a Monday-Friday day shift, and this is an in-office position. The pay range is completely depending on experience of the candidate but will be competitive.

 

Job Duties:

• Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll. 
• Contribute to organizational strategies by providing accounting/financial information and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of various financial statements, reports, and bank account reconciliations.
• Support the development of the annual budget.
• Identify and implement processes and automation to streamline and improve accounting procedures and systems.
• Assist in the processing of independent contractor fees, including downloading of data, work-up of fees, input and transmit earnings into payroll software, and setting wires to accompany fee batches.
• Help with reviewing or transmitting payroll reconciling payroll documents with accounting software and fund 401k and FSA program accounts.
• Contribute to the preparation and funding of monthly, quarterly, and annual excise taxes to various venues.
• Assist with general subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, operating expenses, and insurance records.
•  Support the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
• Assist with preparing all year end data for CPA.

 

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 Years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proficient with QuickBooks and ADP for payroll
• Experience in the financial industry is highly preferred but not required
