Job Duties
An HVAC or sheet metal duct installer installs and repairs equipment like heating units, AC systems, and gas piping under the supervision of a journeyman Installer. Your responsibilities in this career include designing, measuring, and fabricating sheet metal and installing ductwork in both commercial and residential settings. You also design and install a fitting for each piece of the installation. Other duties include completing paperwork and timesheets and maintaining an inventory of parts. You must read blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, always ensure safety and communicate in a professional, friendly manner with your team and clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Pass drug test
- Background check
