Express Employment of Long Beach is hiring CNC Lathe Machinist for an growing local  company. This is a great position for an individual with some mechanical inclination and is looking to work alongside more experienced machinists. 

POSITION – CNC Lathe Machinist

LOCATION:  Long beach
RATE: $25/hr.+ (based on experience)  

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Lathe machine to make aerospace parts
• Setup and maintain CNC Lathe machines
• Troubleshooting and quality control
• Maintain production standards and percentages
• Machine valves and fittings 
• Make precise measurements to ensure parts fall within tight tolerances
• Machine maintenance and making corrections to parts if needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and practices

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High school diploma / GED
• 3-5 years machining experience. Programming experience a plus
• Experience in aerospace machining or quality control for plastic or metal parts
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints
• Ability to make precise measurements
• Strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness
