HUMAN RESOURCES / Training Representative

 

General Job Description:

Reporting to the President: General job responsibilities will be supporting and completing tasks related to the administration of Human Resource duties to include but not limited to, recruiting, interviewing, employee onboarding. Position will also be involved in the training of other staff members in various performance documentation and improvement training as well as being the front-line interviewer/investigator for performance issues and related documentation. Position is also responsible for maintaining all training documentation and making recommendations for areas where training improvements can be accomplished. Must also be willing to take on occasional small project management roles to support other staff in facility growth.  

 

Essential Duties:

  • Posting job positions and screening applicants and conducting interviews.
  • Maintain all spreadsheets and documents related to staffing, hiring, and training.
  • Coordinate with staffing companies to find qualified staff.
  • Utilize MS Office tools to organize calendars for interviews, start dates and training events.
  • Coordinate with necessary agencies to create training for key process improvements.
  • Coach supervisors, participate in performance improvement efforts, and when necessary, document and lead corrective actions.
  • Work within a team environment while demonstrating good interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Review and develop training programs to improve quality, safety, individual and team growth, and performance.
  • Willingness to work with outside vendors for key service support.
  • Willingness to take on occasional small project management.
  • Ensure training and safety documentation is capable of meeting ISO, AS, and OSHA requirements.

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Friendly disposition with professional appearance.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • 3-5 years experience in HR generalist or training environments.
  • Degree in HR or Training specialties preferred but not required.
  • Experience with small project management helpful

 

Work Environment

This position is predominately in an office environment but will also require regular access to the manufacturing shop floor. This may include interaction that may include engineering, production, and other office staff. Shop environment may be subject to ambient noise create by punching welding, and machining equipment.

 

Compensation

Compensation for this position will be salaried at $55-65k annually. Additional compensation is available in the form of shared cost health care benefits, paid holidays, paid time off accrual, and a 401k with company match.
