Operations Analyst:

 

Northern Kentucky company looking for a great fit for their team!

 

 

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Operations Analyst is to support the operations team with data gathering and analysis, operations and financial reporting, documentation of operational requirements for capital or system investments, administrative support, and purchasing, payable and invoicing support.  Position supports additional tasks as decided by the Distribution Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Operations Support: Continuously analyze, define or revise and document new or existing business processes to enhance quality, lower costs or increase customer satisfaction.  Meet with operations team and review findings and recommendations.  Once approved, implement the new process and train the end users.  Perform periodic follow-up audits to assure everyone is adhering to the procedures.

 

Financial Support: Process all purchase orders and invoices standard practices.  Prepare customer billing.  Complete ROI analysis and financial analysis as directed by Distribution Manager. Complete cost plus hours weekly audit.

 

Order Planning, Tracking, and Research: Support Order Planner in the creation and launch of daily work schedules.  Record, track and report on monthly Order and Inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPI).  Provide tracking information and POD information to operations staff as directed.  Assist with researching order deliveries, mis-shipments, or other compliance issues.  Review daily shipped orders and process orders as needed.

 

Administrative Activities:  Support corporate departments and Distribution facility as pertaining to the following:

  • Human resource support
  • Legal filings
  • Retrieve incoming mail twice a week
  • Handling and distributing interoffice mail
  • Handling incoming calls and processing messages
  • Directing visitors to sign in and alert proper personnel
  • Order all offices supplies once a month or when needed
  • Order all coffee and supplies
  • Monitors copy machine usage and calls for service.

 

Systems Support: Work with corporate Information Technology professionals, software vendors, and support personnel in the identification of technology performance and improvement opportunities.  Develop operational requirements, work with Distribution Project Coordinator in completing technology projects, develop and utilize test plans to validate technology is working to specified requirements.  Track system performance.  Provide low level technical support in the areas of printer and scanner maintenance, desktop systems, and tasks delegated from the IT team.

 

Reporting: Gather data and prepare operational performance and financial performance reports.  Analyze data and provide prospective on strengths and areas to improve.  Maintain a history of performance and financial metrics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 2 to 5 years of experience in operations analysis, warehousing, inventory control / quality control functions, and financial transactions.  Individual must have the ability to use Radio Frequency (RF) devices and a Warehouse Management System, as well as, the ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and task instructions.  High School education completed or GED required; college BA or BS preferred.
