Production Supervisor

Salary: 58-75k

Express Employment Professionals are seeking a Production Supervisor for a Medical Manufacturing Company in the Buffalo, NY area. 


2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm

Payrate: $58-75k

Job Summary: The production supervisor monitors the manufacturing processes that are critical to the company''s operation.


Job Duties:

  • Managing people; consistent policy deployment (safety, absenteeism, interviewing, termination, operator discipline, systems)
  • Fill our paperwork for jobs completely and properly.
  • Responsible for the training of operators.
  • Handle any quality/ people issues.
  • Accountable for business metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and cost)
  • Constant communication with the team leads.
  • Developing Team Leaders
  • Scheduling operations including production, OQ, IQ, PQ for their area
  • Responsible for changeover improvement plans, performance tracking
  • Design the room schedule based on demand, constraints, etc.
  • Monitor job processes.
  • Hourly timekeeping approval
  • React to change in regard to scheduling (change in demand, change in resources, etc.)
  • Support lean initiatives and workshops on the plant floor
  • Conduct quality audits
  • Leads walkabout process for their area (visual boards maintained, task trackers, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Monitors daily manufacturing processes for the North room to ensure production of received orders.
  • Communicates with Operations Manager to make necessary changes for production of product.

Safety Responsibilities: Supervisors are responsible for making sure that all employees comply with safety rules and regulations. Supervisors have the authority to take corrective action as appropriate.

  • Carrying out safety policy and procedures as directed by the department manager.
  • Promoting and maintaining enthusiasm with respect to safety.
  • Conducting thorough accident investigations and submitting them to appropriate personnel on a timely basis.
  • Conducting periodic safety inspections of their areas.
  • Assuring that employees are provided with and wear proper protective equipment.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analysis, by identifying and documenting any safety concerns.
  • Participating in safety meetings and providing ideas to improve the safety function.


  • Understands regulated type industries
  • Knowledge of medical device manufacturer and supplies knowledge preferred
  • World-class manufacturing knowledge preferred


  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Engineering degree a plus.

Experience: 3-5+ years prior experience managing people, planning, scheduling, working with DHRs/Travelers, and implementing lean preferred
