JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the sales team and ensuring that they have the tools, support and resources needed to meet and exceed the station’s revenue goals. 

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

  • Advertising order entry, make goods, and revisions
  • Generating and analyzing sales and ratings reports
  • Creation of sales and marketing presentation materials
  • Creating program cards
  • Maintain account files
  • Assisting traffic department
  • Act as liaison between clients and account executives
  • Administrative and clerical support for the general manager and other department heads as needed
  • Other duties as assigned 

SKILLS REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of broadcast sales coordination or traffic experience preferred
  • Associate in Business or a related field of study is strongly preferred; four-year college degree is a real plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to type 40 wpm
  • Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and operate broadcast-specific software programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; an energetic “team player”
  • Ability to perform effectively under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility to work occasional weeknights and weekends
