Technical Support Specialist
Located in Branson, MO
*Inspects personal computer equipment and read order sheet, listing user requirements to prepare microcomputer for delivery.
*Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user’s premises.
*Load specified software packages such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer.
Enter commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operations.
*Respond to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operation problems.
*Instructs user in use of equipment, software, and manuals.
*Recommend or preform minor remedial actions to correct problems.
*Coordinate activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
*Provide updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
*Replace defective or inadequate software packages.
*Refer major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
*Understand business model, department functions and processes to offer suggestions regarding IT solutions.
*Nights, weekends and holidays.
*Will perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED
One-year certificate from college or technical school
or Three to six months of related experience or a combination of education and experience
