Salary: $70,000 - $78,000

We are looking for an HVAC Service Manager to join our team!


  • Manage the activities of 5-10 service technicians and dispatcher. To include: approve daily time cards, interview hire and train and retain service technicians, performance reviews training and corrective action, conduct bi-weekly service meetings to address arising issues or conduct training, and act as a back up for service technicians having the ability to perform all of their assigned duties
  • Customer relations to include: follow up with customers on service technician's recommendations for service work, order parts as needed and follow through with additional scheduling, provide estimates on service work to the estimating department, provide quotes on large repair jobs, resolve service related problems and warranty issues
  • Administrative duties to include: compile Refrigerant usage reports, establish budgets (labor and material), contact vendors to source for the best pricing, control and estimate needed inventory, set inventory pricing and policies, develop service buget and goals, attend meetings owner training and seminars
  • Responsible for the profitability of the service department, analyzing profit, loss and performance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests: technician's will be on call, there may be times that they need additional support
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, creating a safe work place


  • 2 - 5 years experience in a similar capacity
  • Minimum of Associates Degree in HVAC (management degree preferred)
  • Mechanical IV License
  • EPA Certified to work with Refrigerant
  • 10 Hour OSHA training
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to meet insurance underwriting requirements
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

We are also looking for a Project Manager!


  1. Perform duties in accordance with company standard policies and procedures.
  2. Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of staff teams on all assigned projects.
  3. Initiate, review and oversee all required project administration and documentation, as necessary to avoid claims and to protect the best interest of HVAC Solutions and our clients.
  4. Ensure Contract Agreements are expeditiously secured, reviewed, processed and executed.
  5. Review, finalize and distribute project budget. Make all required budget updates and revisions.
  6. Conduct Pre-Construction Turnover Meetings for all assigned projects.
  7. Ensure all required permits and/or licenses are obtained and posted.
  8. Initiate setup, monitoring and updating of project scheduling.
  9. Coordinate all required procurement of materials and equipment with Purchasing Agent, with emphasis on buyout plan to meet, or improve on, established schedule dates and budget cost.
  10. Sub-contract Agreement negotiation, preparation, processing and execution.
  11. Ensure all required submittal review, processing and approvals, and submittal logs are set-up and maintained.
  12. Ensure release and expediting of all materials and equipment.
  13. Develop, submit and obtain approval of Billing Schedule of Values. Prepare accurately, and submit on time, all required billings.
  14. Responsible to maintain an over billed cash position, and request retention release bill-down/payments.
  15. Collect all payments, progress billing and retention receivables, on or before due dates.
  16. Price, negotiate and process all change condition and change order work. Maintain all required change related and change order logs.
  17. With the assistance of the Labor Manager, ensure all assigned projects are properly staffed with appropriate Field Forces.
  18. Monitor Field Lead Men on 3rd Party rental equipment and company owned tools used on all assigned projects. Ensure that any tools and rental equipment not required, or no being utilized, are returned immediately to the Rental Company or Company Tool crib.
  19. Coordinate work and communications between departments as necessary. Cooperate fully and assist whenever possible with the efforts of other department members such as Service Department, Residential, Fabrication Shop and Accounting.
  20. Responsible for overall financial performance of all assigned projects, including continual cost control, management and forecasting. Prepare accurately, and submit on time, all required project monthly contract valuations.
  21. Manage all sub-contractors and suppliers.
  22. Review, approve and process all sub-contractor and supplier invoices.
  23. Attend Project Management meetings and respond to any questions associated with assigned projects.
  24. Conduct regularly scheduled project staff meetings as necessary.
  25. Resolve and settle any project disputes and/or claims as necessary.
  26. Keep President, Vice President or Senior Project Manager informed of any major developments, good or bad, on each project.
  27. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all customers, external and internal. Market HVAC Solutions, Inc. to our clients and be on the lookout for any new or upcoming projects.
  28. Visit project sites on a regular basis.
  29. Ensure all projects are closed out in an organized and timely manner.
  30. Conduct Post-Construction Closeout Meetings for all assigned projects with the Estimating Department and Labor Manager.




Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university; and/or 5-10 years related field and management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, and individual should have good knowledge of any project management software; high level of expertise in MS Excel and good knowledge of MS Word.
