Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Full Time Production Co-Ordinator on behalf of our Windsor, Ontario (food grade) manufacturing client.


The Production Co-Ordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks such as:  Managing information between departments, acting as a point of contact to open orders that will meet customer formulation, labelling, processing, packaging and shipping requirements.  The Co-Ordinator will manage any changes to the production schedule to react to unforeseen circumstances and make decisions to ensure the optimization of production resources and business requirements.


Responsibilities for a Production Co-Ordinator include:

  • Scheduling and planning of production activities related to open orders
  • Verification and timing for open orders with related stakeholders including:
    • Label design approval for open orders
    • Raw material
    • Custom labelling
    • Packaging
    • Production readiness and scheduling
    • Storage and delivery
  • Openly collaborate and plan with the Warehousing/Procurement, Quality/Design, Finance and Sales departments
  • Actively participate in the ERP implementation and maintenance of same ERP system
  • Maintain records and processes tied to job duties and responsibilities
  • Attend and report in production meetings
  • Create and maintain training and procedures relative to this role
  • Liaise with stakeholders to help achieve due dates on various components of open orders
  • Manage files and record systems
  • Create and assemble reports that prove department is achieving desired results (Word or Excel or Powerpoint etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Experience for a Production Co-Ordinator includes:

  • 3-5 years on the job experience Production Co-Ordinator or Project Manager types of roles
  • Completed College or University Diploma preferred
  • Experience working in a GMP and continuous improvement environment (ISO: 9000, 18000 or 14000) experience preferred
  • Shop floor experience preferred in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping deadlines and working under pressure
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers and suppliers
  • Able to work with minimal supervision


Hours and Compensation for a Production Co-Ordinator

  • Salaried position – 44 hours/wk
  • Monday – Thursday (7:30 am – 5pm) and Friday (7:30 – 4pm)
  • Pay Rate depending on experience
  • Company paid benefits
