Mechanical QA

Mechanical Quality Assurance/Quality Control Representative is needed to join our team in New York. Previous high-tech experience preferred

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Work with superintendents and foremen to plan, and organize activities concerned with construction projects
  • Systems supported: Process Piping, HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, PVC, PVDF, etc.
  • Record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the QC program
  • Complete all QA/QC documentation and any other reports that are required for the project
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling
  • Inspect and test systems
  • Conduct and supervise Field Installation Inspections; welding/systems qualifications, borescope inspections, slope verification, critical systems validation, non-destructive examination (NDE), remediation oversight, as well as installation value assessments
  • Track, manage, and monitor supplies and materials received and used to complete the project
  • Work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner''s representatives to facilitate project activities
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
  • Perform final QA/QC on installations
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for all aspects of Mechanical Systems
  • Provide Project Engineering management of current projects including Office Area Controls upgrades
  • Answering questions of a technical nature during project execution
  • Ensure equipment and overall system OAT / FAT process meets expectations
  • Review with System Owner and provide technical verification of hardware and configuration of installations per design documents
  • Review OAT documentation and conduct FATs on behalf of customer

Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related experience in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of overall system installation from a construction implementation standpoint
  • NDT or CWI highly preferred
