Salary: $17.01 to $17.13/hr

2nd shift: 3:00PM-11:00PM Mon-Fri, possibly some Saturdays

            3rd shift: 11:00PM-7:00AM Sun-Thurs, possibly some Fridays

Dress code: MUST have leather, steel/composite toe 6” high boots. No shoes or sneakers. BOOTS MUST BE WORN TO ORIENTATION! Jeans, t-shirt, nothing with holes, rips, tears or with profanity on it or offensive. No loose, drapey clothing. No tank tops, halter tops, etc.

Length of assignment: Evaluation hire depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance

Job Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

A relief operator is required to work in all areas of the plant when needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EXTRUDER OPERATOR:

  1. Perform entire line set up (palletizing system, pellet handling system, flake vacuum system, and scale system.
  2. Fill out extruder process sheet appropriately and accurately.
  3. Fill out extruder screen change log appropriately and accurately.
  4. Pack bulk boxes within spec and quality post-consumer resin.
  5. Perform quality assurance tests (volatile, pellet count, melt index, color scan, and press outs).
  6. Print label and label box per Graham Recycling’s color standard.
  7. Remove bulk box from scale and store in warehouse in the appropriate row.
  8. Perform routine maintenance (c/o vacuum filters, pelletizer blades, and clean out air classifier filter).
  9. Check and refill distilled water tank.
  10. Monitor pelletizer water temperature.
  11. Monitor pelletizing system and make adjustments accordingly.
  12. Monitor extruder and make adjustments accordingly.
  13. ***REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    1. Machine operator background.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF A TOW MOTOR OPERATOR:

        1. Load production lines, as instructed by the production supervisor with appropriate raw materials.
        2. Maintain current and correct raw material inventory.
        3. Unload raw materials from trailers, fill out unload sheets to ensure proper raw materials count. Calculate raw materials weight per bale and fill out contamination report on unloaded raw material.
        4. Dump and bale hoppers of sorted raw materials.
        5. Dump hoppers of contamination in the trash compactor.
        6. Remove bulk boxes of aluminum cans from line, put lid on box, and store box in appropriate row in the warehouse in a neat, orderly manner.
        7. Remove hoppers of scrap metal from lines, and dump in the appropriate metal bin in the yard.
        8. Remove chipper wire hopper from underneath the wire chipper, and dump in the appropriate metal bin in the yard.
        9. Remove finished goods from production lines, and store in the appropriate rows in the warehouse in a neat, orderly manner.
        10. Receive parts and supplies and store in designated areas. Secure packing slips for receiving and properly completes all necessary paperwork.
        11. Keep work area clean.
        12. Follow all safety regulations and requirements.
        13. Train fellow employees as requested.
        14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
        15. ***REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
          1. Must obtain forklift license.

 

          1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SORTER: 
          2. Sort contamination out of raw materials
          3. Sort raw material colors
          4. Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisors
          5. Clean out dryers on blade changes and blade rotations
          6. Keep workstation clean
          7. Follow all safety regulations and requirements
          8. Train fellow employees as requested
          9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
