Seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of pumps, valves and boiler equipment and strong troubleshooting abilities. Ability to lead an equipment repair and adapt quickly to change while adjusting priorities if a breakdown occurs is a must.
-Must have an electrical/mechanical background with a minimum of 4-5years of experience -E-Experience in a commercial building, power plant or manufacturing plant environment preferred
Experienced with HVAC and pipe fitting/plumbing
-Must be flexible if completion of a critical repair calls for it.
-Proper use and understanding of PPE, LOTO, and Risk Management
-Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints
-Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Excel and Word a plus
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal direct supervision in a dynamic environment
-Ability to operate a forklift -Strong verbal and written communication skills
-For operation of the process boiler, holding a Third Class Engineer License or First/Second Class Fireman License a plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Performing preventive maintenance as well as electrical/mechanical troubleshooting on all equipment
-Working with the Facilities Engineer to review work, set priorities, and schedule maintenance repairs
-Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions, replace seals in pumps, replaces bearings in motors, pumps and other equipment.
-Pipe fitting tasks; Installing, modifying or repairing PVC transfer pipelines and other small threaded metal piping
-Assisting the facilities engineer with the 150 HP package boiler maintenance and operation. Training available to gain applicable license
-Entering and completing work orders by logging actions and findings in an accurate and timely fashion in a maintenance program
-Quickly diagnosing source of failures and making emergency repairs to all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems as needed to return them to service and minimize production downtime
-Assisting production staff through direction, training, and assistance
-Assisting operations in setting up equipment to maintain maximum efficiency including annually auditing equipment to improve or develop PM’s, troubleshooting guides and using standard operating procedures
-Ensuring equipment is set up, maintained, and operated safely
-Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and returning tools, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment
-Handling a large workload with multiple preventive and repair tasks/projects
-Ability to lift 75 lbs., up to 50 lbs. shoulder-high
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Ability to work over, under, and around potentially dangerous and moving machinery in tight spaces
-Ability to withstand various temperatures and weather conditions
-Must be comfortable working at heights while standing on a ladder or in a basket
