Express is excited to team up with a local glass manufacturing plant located in Tumwater.  They are looking for the next RockStar to add to their team. This is a great career opportunity with an fast growing company with room for advancement.  They are willing to train for the right candidate. Schedules are rotating days so you must be available for work any day of the week, hours are 7pm to 7am.  You will receive your schedule for the whole year so there are no surprises about which days you work!Benefits include but not limited to: Profit Sharing Payout Monthly, Medical, Dental, Vision and 401-K match. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Coater Machine Load & Unload

Understand production coating schedule to determine correct items to be coated or processed for shipment. Communication with Lead position and training for manual and automated loading equipment.

 

Movement of materials and glass products within warehouse to the load-end work station, from the unload workstation to various warehouse storage locations using PIT’s.

 

Training, certification and operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, or Rico lifts to move materials.

 

Manual and auto loading of various sizes and weights of raw glass products from racks or packs onto the coating machine conveyors.

 

Manual and automated unloading of finished product offline and onto racks.

 

Visual inspection of raw and coated glass products to identify obvious quality or damage problems.

 

Manual handling of various types of glass.

 

Communication with Supervisor, Leads, PCT’s, or other shift personnel at both ends of the coating line to ensure flow of product to work areas.

 

All employees assigned to the above workstations are required to wear the designated safety equipment and are responsible for keeping their work stations clean of trash and debris.

 

All employees assigned to Cardinal are required to be flexible with regard to the start and end times of their shift.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Respirator Certification

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).  A minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to read a tape measure proficiently to 1/16 of an inch.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license. Ability to pass physical and classroom training to obtain forklift, Rico lift, and overhead crane certifications.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. An employee on the Coating line must also be able to pass a respirator fit test for infrequent use of a respirator.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, heat, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
