Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Full Time CONTRACT TO HIRE Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our Windsor, Ontario client.

 

Responsibilities for a Warehouse Supervisor include:

• 50% of your time interfacing with company software, reordering stock, inventory counting
• 25% forklift – offloading shipments, packing slips, purchase orders
• 10% cycle counting for inventory accuracy
• 15% miscellaneous duties
• Ensure stock is in the proper location
• GMP adherence
• Facilitate new item requests and stock additions to the storeroom
• Provide recommendations to management on initiatives to improve warehouse operations
• Review current SOP’s / guidelines and modify as necessary to eliminate inefficiencies in normal operations of the warehouse

 

Required Experience for a Warehouse Supervisor includes:

• No people management require, all warehouse inventory control and supervision of flow
• 5+ years on the job experience in a Warehouse or Inventory Control type of position
• Must be computer literate – this company uses Maximo EAM Software
• Good communication skills required – verbal and written
• Must be a team player
• Must be self-disciplined
• Must be able to display professionalism in interactions with staff and internal/external customers
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to problem solve when issues arise or be able to anticipate problems before they occur

 

Hours and Compensation for a Warehouse Supervisor: 

• Monday – Friday (7am – 4:30pm with 30-minute lunch)
  • 44 hours/wk + paid overtime (salaried non-exempt position)
• Pay Rate depending on experience
• When full time benefits coverage provided (can purchase your own benefits coverage while on Express’ payroll in the interim)
• When full time – defined pension contributions of 1% automatically off your pay with up to 4% matching by employer
• When full time 3 weeks’ vacation (prorated if start mid-year)
