Responsibilities/Duties of Food Production Supervisor:
- Working at a factory with food is required
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Maintain an efficient and productive line of cooperation and communication with
- other departments and support group
- Prepare all paperwork required in a neat, legible, and timely manner
- Report all employee absences, tardiness, accidents; company rules infractions, or job performance problems to the Operation Manager or Personnel Office as assigned.
- Report mechanical problems immediately to the maintenance department
- Train an assistant to assume all related duties for days off, illness, vacation, or out of plant workdays
- Meet and maintain company objectives and efficiency standards for:
- Overtime
- Yield
- Safety
- Quality
- Sanitation
- Waste
- Customer specification
- Maintain a high level of moral in the production room by:
- Treating employees with respect and addressing them by name
- Refraining from using harsh language
- Being fair and impartial when making judgments
- Recognizing employee achievements
Qualifications for Food Production Supervisor:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience in fresh food or production environment
- Must have own transportation
- Must have a working knowledge of the English language
- Basic math skills
- Ability to interact across departments
- Ability to train staff on safety requirements & enforce safety requirements
