Located in Hoquiam, WA
Warehouse worker needed for local manufacturing facility. Receive, store, issue and shop components, assemblies and machines ensuring an orderly, efficient and accurate inventory. Ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Receive incoming shipments:
a) inspect the shipment for damage and take appropriate action if damage exists,
b) locate or identify incoming shipments so that they cannot be issued, shipped or used until receiving
inspection is completed,
c) conduct receiving inspection of merchandise items to ensure p.o. requirements have been met,
d) route manufactured items to the inspector for receiving inspection,
e) receive approved items into the inventory system and process receiving paperwork,
f) ensure that MDR returns are appropriately segregated and identified and that the MDR administrator
Material handling and inventory storage:
a) assign and locate inventory storage areas or bins that are appropriate to the nature and size of the
items to be stored,
b) store incoming items in assigned inventory/bin locations ensuring that they are protected from
damage and deterioration and meet other criteria that may be listed on the critical components list.
Issues from inventory:
a) process issues from inventory, ensuring that stock codes and quantities picked from stock are
accurate and in accordance with applicable documentation (packing list or pick list),
b) ensure that each item is clearly identified,
c) issue withdrawals for work in process to the designated cart or assembly location, ensure they are
identified with the appropriate job number,
d) prepare outgoing shipments so that each item is protected from damage by the way it is packaged
and the type of container that is used,
e) ensure that appropriate documentation is included with outgoing shipments, including packing lists,
shipping labels, customs papers and, when required, installation drawings and/or instructions for modification kits,
f) prepare shipping documents for the designated carrier and process shipping paperwork as required,
a) conduct a physical count of designated inventory items and assist in the resolution of inventory
b) maintain warehouse facilities in an orderly manner ensuring that inventoried items are clearly
marked and easily found, and that isle ways are clear and uncluttered,
c) review inventory processes and recommend changes that will improve inventory operations and
