Domestic Violence Victim Witness Coordinator
Located in Aberdeen, WA
Part-time (less than 10 hours per week), long-term (depending on grant funding)
The Witness Coordinator plays an integral role in the legal protections of victims of domestic violence. The Witness Coordinator will interact daily with City of Aberdeen agencies including the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police Department.
The Witness Coordinator provides logs regarding: active contact with victims or witnesses; inactive cases (including continued, deferred, or otherwise inactive but open); cases that are closed; current month activities to be provided to the grant manager; case log for Aberdeen Police Department; and, activity log for Aberdeen Legal Office. In addition to maintaining logs, which include letters and other communications with witness/victims, the Witness Coordinator will assist with basic legal clerical tasks including subpoenas, witness lists, docket review, court preparation, and case file maintenance.
