Baker/ChefThe primary functions will be:
- Preparing food to serve (light lunches.salads, quiche, sandwiches.all very gourmet and higher end, turn 20-25 people per day on average.)- Helping create menu- Baking, preparing, and cooking meals from start to finish.- One person kitchen, so all duties that go with that. - Serving customers from the case and/or at tables- Helping with Bakery duties as an apprentice baker- Dish washing and cleaning up- other duties as assigned
not a high volume operation, Some experience is important here, but not necessarily needing someone with a lot of formal training. the in house chef is classically trained and will show the assistant what needs to be done. we want the asst skills to be developed enough to handle things when the house chef is out. This would mean doing the lunches, some basic baking and continuing to serve. seeking someone who presents a very good impression .not only will the asst be working with customers one on one but also working with food. seeking someone who can interact, sell and make connections. will train on specifics where needed.
