GENERAL SUMMARY:  In conformance with established policies and procedures, the candidate will be expected to perform the job duties and responsibilities as listed below. The primary duties of this position may be changed and or modified as a result of developments of the overall strategy of our client.

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the procurement, publishing and management of social media marketing material. This position will work in cooperation with the Brand Marketing Manager to manage social media accounts. All job functions will be in accordance with company policies, strategies and goals. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Applicant/Employee must have the ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.)

  • General Duties
    • Daily posting using voice that is on brand with company’s marketing direction on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with video-heavy strategy in mind
    • Identifying trends on social media and suggesting strategies to capitalize on them
    • Being the boots on the ground via social channels and notifying teammates of trends, unique uses of our products and any potential sales leads or opportunities
    • Consistently managing engagement to ensure our brands remain alive, growing, helpful and personally relatable with our audience
    • Populate content once a week on Pinterest accounts
    • Assist Brand Marketing Manager in managing comments on all paid social ads
    • Occasional social engagement on evenings and weekends will be required
  • Content Calendar Management
    • Keep company Trello content calendar updated, organized and visible with all organic social media posts
    • Use calendar to schedule ‘one-off’ post requests from teammates & management
    • Work with marketing team to coordinate ideas, promotions and strategies
  • Division #1 Social Media Management
    • Procuring and organizing content in company’s Dropbox folder
    • Daily posting on company’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts
    • Answering DM’s on Instagram. Use this as a tool to help people, develop relationships and procure content
    • Publishing and maintaining brand’s FB/IG stories
  • Division #2 Automotive Social Media Management
    • Procuring and organizing content in company’s Dropbox folder
    • Daily posting on company’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts
    • Answering DM’s on Instagram. Use this as a tool to help people, develop relationships and procure content
    • Publishing and maintaining brand’s FB/IG stories
  • Division #3 Social Media Management
    • Procuring and organizing content in company’s Dropbox folder
    • Daily posting on company’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts
    • Answering DM’s on Instagram. Use this as a tool to help people, develop relationships and procure content
    • Publishing and maintaining brand’s FB/IG stories

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of social media marketing management for a large brand using Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter
  • Automotive industry and automotive influencer knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience using Facebook’s Ads Manager and scheduling tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OneNote
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking and analytic skills
  • Ability to be successful and productive while working under time constraints
  • Easy to work with and ability to accept direction from management
  • Works efficiently both independently and in teams
  • A “can-do” attitude

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Google Analytics and implementation of UTM tracking
  • Experience and efficiency using Adobe Photoshop
  • Photography/Videography shooting and editing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time on a daily basis
  • Ability to lift weight above head when required.
