Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test machinery/equipment in order to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with machine operator or supervisors to diagnose or repair machine
  • Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired parts. Order replacement parts as needed and maintain inventory of common replacement parts
  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Perform millwright tasks such as moving equipment, material and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hositing, blocking, skidding, and rolling 
  • Install, diagnose and repair pneumatic controls such as valves, cylinders, accumulators, and connections
  • Maintains preventative maintenance program by cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery central to optimal machine performance. In addition, documents preventative maintenance activities 
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment, including snow removal, HVAC and compressed air systems
  • Operates cutting torch, plasma cutter, or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts as well as uses mill, lathe, and other shop equipment to fabricate and repair basic machine parts
  • Participate in Idea Card program and Continuous Improvement activities and generating ideas for improvements
  • Responsible for ensuring that every effort is taken to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Report any hazard, accident, injury or near-miss immediately to supervisor or Lead
  • Take every reasonable precaution under the circumstances to prevent an accident or injury from occurring. Safety is the first priority of everyone. If uncertain about the safety of any task or job assignment, consult with the supervisor
  • Safety Team Members: Conduct daily area inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Communicate employee concerns to leadership, Serve as Safety Champions and lead by example
  • Other duties may be assigned or required by the Supervisors or Leads

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a High School diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum three years of direct Maintenance experience 
  • Demonstrated history of Hydraulic & Pneumatic principles
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose Mechanical and Electrical issues
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV''s) and obtain required certification within 3 months
  • Ability to consistently lift 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints
