CNC Laser Operator

Salary: $22.00-$26.00/HR

Direct Hire Opportunity! 

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:00pm

Pay:  $22.00-$26.00/HR

Duties: 

• Operating Mitsubishi CNC laser equipment in a job‑shop environment

• Loading and unloading sheet metal and raw materials throughout production

• Performing machine start‑up and shut‑down procedures according to established protocols

• Inspecting parts during and after cutting to ensure accuracy and quality

• Assisting with part shake‑out, sorting, and preparation for downstream processes

• Cross‑training and operating additional fabrication machinery such as press brakes

• Using fabrication tools including power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments

• Lifting and maneuvering materials up to 75 lbs as part of daily workflow

Qualifications: 

• Maintaining consistent quality standards by checking parts against specifications

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and measurements to ensure correct output

• Setting up and optimizing cutting programs using Sigmanest or similar nesting software

• Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe in compliance with shop policies

• Communicating production issues or material concerns to supervisors or team members

• Supporting continuous improvement efforts in workflow, efficiency, and safety
