SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, MANUFACTURING FINANCE

Prodigious manufacturing company is in search for the perfect person to join their outstanding Accounting team. This person is responsible for senior level Accounting activities. Daily tie out and reconciliation of cash accounts, Accounting lead in quarterly physical inventories, process month end reports, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, various month end JEs and monthly analysis of expenses.  Is the back up and support to both A/R and A/P. Special projects as requested by management

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Daily cash reconciliation

 

  • Gather backup and input daily ACH debits and wires into system
  • Reconcile to bank balance daily

 

Month end close procedures

  • Verify all month end process completed, post and run reports
  • Prepare and post various GL Journal entries
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly

(including Prepaid, Fixed Assets, Bank, A/R and A/P subledgers, Inventory)

 

Quarterly Physical Inventory

  • Work with Inventory control personnel with inventory process
  • Work with Inventory control in reconciliation

 

Annually

  • Point person working directly with our external auditors for our annual audit

               

Other duties and special projects as requested by management

 

 

Experience and Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Minimum of associates degree in business or finance required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in performing similar accounting functions.
  • ERP experience
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting systems and processes
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with management
  • Attention to detail

Ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, have strong time management skills, be able to multi-task and have excellent oral and written communications as well as computer literacy. Possess the ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with the Customer Service department, with the Sales department and with our customers. Perform other assigned tasks necessary to support the Accounting department and senior management.

 

Salary:
