Job Description

A large Global Freight Forwarder is currently seeking an experienced, energetic self-motivating professional for the position of Air and Ocean Import Coordinator for our SeaTac, WA office.

The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years or more of experience in the freight industry; with a comprehensive knowledge of air and ocean import operations.

Knowledge of air and ocean export operations, though not a requirement, would be a value added plus.

Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent verbal and telephone skills, have good attention to detail, be able to multi-task, be organized and display a high degree of professionalism.

We are looking for innovative and creative problem solvers with highly developed operational, management and communication skills.

Job Requirements

Tasks include but are not limited to:

o             Communicate via e-mail with overseas offices and agents regarding on-board confirmation and receipt of pre-alert documentation.

o             Coordinate timely and accurate regulatory filings such as AMS and ISF.

o             Build and maintain shipments.

o             Air, FCL, and LCL tracking and tracing of steamship line and CFS sites.

o             Coordinate internal and external broker turnover processes.

o             Communicate with internal operations colleagues for arrivals by pre-dispatching shipments.

o             Facilitate limited Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for intra-company and service provider transactions.
