The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience performing inspections and diagnostic testing on vehicles to address customer concerns, determine work needed, and recommend needed work. He/she will estimate labor times and parts needed to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or tune-ups and be able to perform the work. You must have knowledge in repairing and/or replacing brakes, rotors, timing belts, shock absorbents and suspensions parts as well as perform fluid and filter changes and perform general maintenance. You must have knowledge of how to use diagnostic scanners and testing equipment to determine the cause of check engine lights and drive problems and know what different code issues mean utilizing websites such as Alldata, Identifix, and Mitchell to help identify diagnosis. ASE certification helpful but not mandatory if experience can be proven. You must be able to work in extreme heat and cold, be able to stand, sit, lay down, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time as well as be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The right candidate will be reliable, punctual, and drug free as well as have strong and effective interpersonal communications skills and excellent customer service.
