Forklift Operator (TWIC)

Located in New Orleans, LA

Salary: $14.50/hour

We are looking for a Forklift Operator with a valid TWIC card to work in a plant environment at either the Port of New Orleans or a warehouse in New Orleans East. This is a long-term full-time opportunity with room for growth. 

Pay: $14.50 / hour

Description:

• Operating seated rotary forklift (5,000-8,000 pounds- foot pedals for moving forward and backward) to load and unload product from containers.
• Placing products on pallets to be safely transferred and wrapping drum pallets with plastic wrap and labeling.
• Securing materials loaded onto pallets for transportation.
• Manually loading and unloading various materials by hand and stacking safely and securely.
• Inspect the overall condition of forklifts and report any issues to management in a timely manner as needed.

Requirements:

• TWIC card
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work day or night shifts that can change every week.
• Experience- At least 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift in the past 5 years. MUST be able to provide employment references where we can verify your experience operating a forklift.
• Transportation- Must have a reliable vehicle with a valid Driver's License.
• PPE- Steel toed boots or shoes.
