Summary Objective

In the Painter position, you are responsible for the safe, environmentally sound, and efficient daily operation of your duties and responsibilities. Under supervision of the Supervisor, the Painter will be washing, paint prepping, painting, sandblasting, and general maintenance.  Must be able to operate and maintain spray painting and sandblasting equipment for application of various coating methods.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in the setup and operation of Paint and Power coating Equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondence, and memos; including safety, instructional and procedural manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to present information in one-on-one group situations with fellow employees and customers
• Ability to make basic mathematical calculations related to daily job functions
• Part inspection skills
• Ability to problem solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• 25-50lb lifting required

Duties:

• Maintaining tools associated with the painting process
• Following process sheets and communicating discrepancies to supervision
• Setting-up and breaking down paint equipment
• Notifying management of any shortages, quality issues or repairs needed on assigned equipment
• Reading and understanding prints and drawings
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Overtime available as required.
