We are looking for a Cabinet Maker to work on custom cabinetry work and other construction projects. You will be the one to help the plans of architects and engineers come to life and become solid structures. Experience in working on relevant projects and using equipment is essential. You must have physical strength, endurance, and work well with your hands. Being good in collaboration and following instructions and safety rules are important.

Job Duties

  • Operation of woodworking machines and use of hand tools to cut, shape and form wood
  • Knowledge of building materials
  • Prepare and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Proper measuring of the interior space is imperative
  • Prepare work estimates
  • Able to custom build pieces in an efficient manner
  • Operate and program Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment, as a part of design software
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
  • Will always practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
  • Comply with all policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person


  • Post-secondary cabinetry courses / certification, Red Seal Certification / Journeyperson would be an asset, or working towards
  • 2+ years’ experience in related field
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings
  • Ability to problem-solve to achieve design intent
  • Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per vehicle policy
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer and/or tablet/iPad experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Google Suite, AutoCAD and 20/20 design software
  • Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
