    • Position Summary:

     

    Principal purpose of the job and its major objectives shall be as follows:

    • Ensures all date, time, and production lot coding is correct at all times on products, bags, boxes, and other packaging materials
    • Ensures all products being used in production areas are correct for the products being produced.
    • Adheres to SQF, HACCP, Organic, Kosher, and other regulatory guidelines.
    • Maintain the laboratory in a way that promotes safety and meets the safety objectives
    • Follow all employee safety and food safety rules.
    • Assist in designing Quality systems for continuous improvement
    • Assist in auditing the production systems for error free production
    • Maintain an Audit ready area at all times
    • Maintains production sheets and ensures all information is filled out correctly and accurately with legible handwriting
    • Enters production sheets into Filemaker Pro, hourly
    • Manage holds and dispositions
    • Assist in evaluating of customer concerns
    • Ensure product and packaging quality for every product
    • Assist in the development of new products and product improvements
    • Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
    • Work in a team environment
    • Any other tasks as requested by management
    • Perform testing on Finished Product materials
    • Assist quality manager for keeping inventory
    • Maintain finished product specifications
    • Capable of making education decisions in a fast-paced environment
    • Perform instrument calibrations on time

Principal Accountabilities:

            Major Activities/Functions

  • Follow GMPs in the production area and immediately report any nonconformance GMP concerns to your supervisor.
  • Follow proper PPE requirements, hand washing practices, and clothing requirements.
  • Follow all housekeeping, sanitation, storage, chemical, and glass GMPs

End Results Expected

  • Inspection and testing of painted brown sugar
  • Achieve site safety objectives and improve safety culture
  • Written procedures for QC tests
  • Maintain written standards for all products and prepare document sheets stored in the QC office
  • Ensure that your laboratory is clean and audit-ready at all times

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer literacy in (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience:

  • Experience operating in a food facility
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Knowledge of SQF Compliance
  • Excellent leadership skills and communication skills
  • Background Check & Drug Test Required
