Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in a busy private practice. The ideal candidate will support both clinical and administrative functions to ensure the office runs smoothly and patients receive high-quality care. This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with exams and procedures, and managing day-to-day clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during patient exams and minor procedures

• Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant medical information

• Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens as directed

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system

• Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and patient follow-ups

• Ensure exam rooms and medical equipment are clean, stocked, and properly maintained

• Provide patients with instructions for treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care

• Support front desk operations as needed, including phone calls and check-in/out

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred 

• Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required

• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or private practice preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic clinical procedures

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
