Journeyman

2+ years experience in compounding extruder operation
Understanding of relationships between the extruder readings/settings and the material being produced to a degree where they can take corrective actions
Experience in work flow planning
Training or experience in the maintenance of compounding extruder and ancillary equipment to perform routine/repetitive maintenance Training or experience in operation of profile extrusion equipment
Understands the basics of compounding extrusion theory and machine operation
Able to lift 50+ pounds overhead occasionally and to shoulder height on a repetitive basis
Must understand the basic physical properties of plastic materials (e.g. bulk density, viscosity) and know how to measure them.
Understands, has experience with, and can practice quality control of material by using basic statistical techniques.
Demonstrated ability to safely drive a fork lift
Must be able to pass a drug screening test
