Grand Rapids area Food Manufacturer is hiring a Safety Supervisor.

As the Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing plant safety processes that ensure compliance with Corporate Safety requirements, PSM, RMP and HAZMAT, along with conducting interviews, facilitating new hire orientation, leading safety training, and monitoring safety behaviors.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety/Environmental Health or two to three years of commensurate experience. To be effective you must:

Be willing to support a 24-hour operation
Have a strong knowledge base of governmental regulations and employment law
Have a firm understanding of OSHA/EPA
Knowledge of PSM/RMP
Experience with Loss Control
