Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, candidates will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations as well as performing building and property maintenance duties. A candidate’s expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and optimizing performance within the manufacturing process and the upkeep of the company’s facility.

 

Responsibilities:

·          Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

·          Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and follow established schedules to maintain equipment reliability.

·          Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work to maintain the facility in good condition.

·          Conduct regular inspections of the building and property to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.

·          Assist in the upkeep of landscaping, parking areas, and external property features.

·          Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

·          Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment histories.

·          Work closely with production staff to identify equipment issues and implement effective solutions.

·          Collaborate with other maintenance team members to support facility operations and improvements.

·          Assist in managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability of necessary materials for repairs and maintenance tasks.

·          Respond to urgent maintenance requests and breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.

 

Requirements:

·          Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

·          Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.

·          Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and basic PLC programming is a plus.

·          Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

·          Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.

·          Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
